Book Mechanics
In CornerBooks, there are three types of books you can choose which contribute to the five different endings.
- The perfect book! The customer makes an enthusiastic purchase. Contributes to the good endings
- The worst choice. Leaves the customer dissatisfied, unwilling to make the purchase. Contributes to the bad endings
- A mediocre pick. You managed to find some things that the customer likes but missed some aspects. If they buy the book, they will likely return it. Neither contributes to the good endings nor the bad endings
Spoiler Free Ending Guide
- Fanfic End: Find five perfect books for all five customers
- Good End: Satisfy three to four customers. Can make two mistakes at most.
- Bad End: Suggest three to four worst books. Can have at most two satisfied/neutral customers
- Fail End: Select the worst picks for all five customers.
- Neutral End - Does not satisfy any of the other ending requirements. All picks can be mediocre or there can be a mix, provided that there are no more than two good picks and/or more than two bad picks

Fanfic End: learn a secret about Diante. Warm, excitable, insulting (yet heartfelt) banter between friends. Certain lines from the player and Diante could be read with romantic intent or understood as the love and warmth between friends
Good End: playful, warm, fun. Certain lines from Diante could be read with romantic undertones or understood as the love and warmth between friends
Bad End: dramatic and silly. The player has to read one of Diante’s books: oh the horror!
Fail End: serious, aggressive, and bleak. Diante verbally lashes out at the player, criticizing the choices made. Final statement can be understood as an end to the friendship or as Diante needing serious space and time to cool down.
